Gen3 CarbonX™ carbon fiber reinforced nylon 3D filament
CarbonX™ PA6+CF [Gen3] is made with a special copolymer of nylon 6 [PA6] and high modulus carbon fibers.
This is the material of choice for industrial applications requiring superior thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance while being easy to print.
Gen3 has a high heat resistance (HDT) >147°C at 0.45 MPa, allowing use in applications with higher temperature influences.
Open source
There is no need to purchase a special printer for CarbonX™ CF nylon. CF Nylon (Gen 3) is suitable for use in virtually any desktop 3D printer with a heated build bed.
Use a hardened nozzle
Carbon fiber reinforced filaments are abrasive and can wear out a standard brass or aluminum nozzle. We therefore strongly recommend coated nozzles or hardened steel nozzles .
