Zortrax Inkspire 2 is a high-end UV LCD 3D printer designed to work with quality resins in a highly automated and streamlined process. Compared to the old Inkspire, it's bigger, more powerful, and better in almost every way. Inkspire 2, together with its complementary post-processing devices, has been thoroughly validated by world-leading brands such as BASF and Henkel to ensure that every print has mechanical and thermal properties equal to or better than those claimed by the manufacturer.

Light engine

UV LED light source 405nm. The proprietary array of bright LEDs and light distribution ensures uniform UV exposure across the entire build platform and high optical precision of every single pixel, regardless of how much of the build platform is filled. As a result, the same high dimensional accuracy can be achieved both in the center and at the edges of the build platform. Thanks to this proprietary technology, Inkspire 2 guarantees the highest mechanical and thermal properties of prints made with professional resins from world-leading manufacturers such as BASF or Henkel.

UV coverage

The UV cover effectively protects the resins from exposure to external UV light sources and reduces the emission of vapors into the environment.

Build the platform removal mechanism and resin dripping

The build platform can be removed and reattached in the exact same position. The mount allows you to leave the print platform in an angled position that facilitates resin dripping when printing is complete.

Calibration

The build platform is factory calibrated, meaning the Inkspire 2 is ready to use right out of the box. If necessary, the printer can also be calibrated by the user following a simple manual via GUI. The calibration process is based on the adjustment of 3 screws on the platform.

Resin vat

Equipped with an easy removal and attachment system that facilitates positioning and a system that improves the functioning of the FEP membrane.

Resin Level Control System Components:

• Resin pump. Thanks to the automatic resin feeding system, Inskpire 2 can transfer more resin directly from the bottle if the amount in the vat is not enough to perform the print. Resin bottles can be easily attached to the pump and placed in a dedicated holder.
• The pump works in both directions. It is not necessary to remove the resin tub to transfer excess resin back into the bottle. The pump can do this automatically.
• Resin scraper mechanism that maintains optimal dispersion in the resin. The wiper that operates in the vat prevents sedimentation in the resin that often occurs in more complex photopolymers during longer prints. The brush speed is adjusted for each resin calibrated for Inkspire 2.
• Resin level sensor. Placed in the resin tank, the sensor constantly measures the amount of resin remaining. Keeping the resin level stable, to some extent, solves the problem of oxygen inhibition that prevents photopolymers from solidifying.
• Mass sensor for resin bottles. The sensor complements the sensor placed in the resin tank and measures the amount of resin left in the bottle placed in the holder. The readings from both sensors estimate the total amount of resin available for the current print. The bottle holder is designed to accommodate the most popular resin bottle models.

If the Inkspire 2 detects that there is not enough resin to complete the print, it will alert you with an on-screen message. If the resin runs out during printing, the process will automatically stop.

Safety

With updated security features for the Inkspire 2, printing will automatically pause when a power outage is detected and resume from the same point when the power is restored. The printer also features resin level control systems and built-in carbon and HEPA filters to limit user exposure to resin fumes.
