GUIDE TO USING THE TEACHER'S CARD ON 3DIGITAL

Who can use the Teacher Card?
You are entitled to the Teacher Card if you are:
- Permanent tenured teacher (also part-time)
- Teacher in training and probationary period
- Teacher declared unfit for health reasons
- Teacher in command position, secondment, out of role
- Teacher serving abroad or at military schools
- According to recent rulings, even teachers with fixed-term contracts until August 31st or substitute teachers can claim the bonus for each school year completed. (Decree 45/2025, teacher card)
You may not use the Card if:
- You are suspended for disciplinary reasons
How much credit do I have available?
Every year you are awarded €500.
The residual credit from previous years accumulates, up to a maximum of €2,000 .
If you don't spend the entire bonus in a year, you can use it in subsequent years, up to the maximum limit.
What can you spend the Card on?
The Teacher's Card is intended exclusively for professional development and training .
Only the following are allowed:
- Purchases of IT or technological tools only if integrated into a training package (e.g. online course + certificate + product).
Examples of purchases permitted on 3Digital (according to current regulations):
3D printers, 3D scanners, drones (only DJI Mini 4 Pro RC-N2 - currently out of production, waiting for compatible SDK for the new Mini 5 Pro model expected in mid-2026, until then no drone model is eligible for the teacher card ), lasers, CNC, cutting plotters (Cricut and Silhouette).
Only if included in a training kit which includes:
- Physical product + any accessories/consumables included
- Free online course on how to use the product (automatically sent via email after order processing)
- Certificate of participation
How to generate and use the voucher on the official website
- Log in to cartadeldocente.istruzione.it with SPID.
- Check your available balance.
- Click on “Create Voucher” and select the type of business and the “ Hardware ” category.
- Enter the required amount.
- Generate the voucher in PDF and send it to us in response to the order confirmation email you received
How to make a purchase on 3Digital ONLINE :
Always consult the product page on 3Digital: You will find the “Teacher Card” poster on products that can be purchased with vouchers.
Before purchasing, you can ask for confirmation of the validity of the product/kit.

- Add the chosen product or bundle to your cart (eligible products have the Carta Docente poster; the screenshot also shows a Carta Docente kit with optional, but recommended, accessories/consumables)
- From the cart click on "Request invoice" then "Private" and enter the tax code by clicking on "save"
- Proceed to the order by choosing "Teacher Card" as an alternative payment method. If the billing address is different from the shipping address, click on "Use a different billing address" and then click on review order to check the data entered and confirm the order.


- Send the voucher generated as hardware in response to the order email (or via WhatsApp 0438 1693056), with tax code
- You will receive an electronic invoice as confirmation of validation by email.
Important:
If your voucher doesn't cover the full amount, after sending us the voucher, you'll receive a link via email where you can pay the difference using another payment method.
If you don't see the "Teacher Card" option on the payment page, click "Checkout without registration" as shown in the figure below. This will allow you to access all available payment methods, including the Teacher Card.
After purchase: completing training requirements
To be perfectly compliant (according to the regulations) you will receive by email:
- Access to the online course
- additional documentation to be filled out
- Certificate of participation
- Report in your Individual Training Plan Participation in the course and the purchase made: this is good practice in case of future ministerial inspections.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I purchase a laser, CNC, cutting plotter, drone, 3D scanner, or 3D printer with the Teacher Card?
Yes, only within an educational package (product + course + certificate) compliant with MIUR regulations (art. 4 Prime Ministerial Decree 28/11/2016).
Always contact us to confirm your chosen product. The course is already included in the price of the product eligible for purchase with the teacher card.
Can I buy a drone?
Yes, but only the basic version of the DJI Mini 4 Pro (remote control without display) . This is because it is currently the only drone for educational use that supports the DJI SDK , a tool that allows you to program and develop custom applications for the drone. The SDK allows you to control the drone via software, automate missions, collect data, and integrate it into educational or research projects. For this reason, it is the ideal choice for those who want to go beyond the "standard" use of the DJI app and experiment with programming or advanced educational activities. PURCHASES WITH ACCESSORIES AND/OR DJI CARE SERVICE ARE NOT ALLOWED WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE DRONE.
DRONE PURCHASE UPDATE 2025/2026
THE MINI 4 PRO HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED AS ITS SUCCESSOR, THE MINI 5 PRO, IS NOW AVAILABLE. UNFORTUNATELY, HOWEVER, THE SDK IS NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THIS NEW MODEL AND THE RELEASE SHOULD BE ESTIMATED AROUND THE SECOND HALF OF 2026. THEREFORE, UNTIL FURTHER UPDATES, NO TYPE OF DRONE CAN BE PURCHASED WITH THE TEACHER CARD.
Can I return or get a refund on a product purchased with the Teacher Card?
It is not possible to obtain a refund (bank transfer or cash) for products purchased with the Teacher Card. This is because the voucher is personal, non-transferable, and intended exclusively for specific training expenses, as required by law. This is not applicable even for returns.
How many vouchers can I use for one order?
Only one voucher per teacher is accepted per order.
I placed an order using Carta del Docente as payment, but immediately afterwards I received an order cancellation email. Why?
This means that one or more purchased products are not eligible for purchase with the teacher card. The system automatically analyzes the items in the order and, if one or more products are not eligible, automatically cancels the order.

When purchasing, always keep certificates and documents proving the training purpose and include the details in your Individual Training Plan: you'll be 100% compliant!
