Who can use the Teacher's Card?

You are eligible for the Teacher's Card if you are:

  • Permanent full-time teacher (also part-time)
  • Teacher in a training and probation period
  • Teacher declared unfit for health reasons
  • Teacher on secondment, detachment, or temporary leave
  • Teacher serving abroad or in military schools
  • Based on recent rulings, even fixed-term teachers until August 31st or substitute teachers can request the bonus for each school year worked. (Decree 45/2025 teacher card) 

You cannot use the Card if:

  • You are suspended for disciplinary reasons

How much credit do I have available?

You are allocated €383 each year.

Any remaining credit from previous years accumulates.

If you don't spend all your bonus in one year, you can use it in subsequent years, up to the maximum limit.

What can you spend the Card on?

The Teacher's Card is exclusively for professional development and training.
Only the following are allowed:

  • Purchases of IT or technological tools only if integrated into a training package (e.g., online course + certificate + product).

Examples of permitted purchases on 3Digital (according to current regulations):

3D Printers, 3D Scanners, Lasers, CNCs, Cutting Plotters (Cricut, Silhouette and LokLik), DJI Mini 5 Pro Drone (basic version).

Only if included in a training kit that comprises:

  • Physical product + any accompanying accessories/consumables
  • Free online course on the educational use of the product (automatically sent via email after the order containing the eligible product for voucher purchase is fulfilled)
  • Certificate of participation (sent after attending the course and completing the online form received via email)

N.B. All instructions for accessing the course and the documents to be signed will be sent by our SignRequest digital signature system, so to prevent the email from ending up in your spam folder, remember to add no-reply@signrequest.com to your trusted senders list.

How to generate and use the voucher on the official website

  1. Log in to cartadeldocente.istruzione.it with SPID.
  2. Check the available balance.
  3. Click on “Crea Buono” (Create Voucher) and select the type of establishment and the category Hardware.
  4. Enter the required amount.
  5. Generate the voucher as a PDF and send it to us in reply to your order confirmation email

How to make a purchase on 3Digital ONLINE:

Always consult the product page on 3Digital: you will find the "Teacher's Card" banner on products purchasable with a voucher.
Before purchasing, you can request confirmation of the product/kit's validity.

  • Add the chosen product or bundle to your cart (eligible products have the Teacher's Card banner, the screenshot also shows a teacher's card kit with optional, but recommended, accessories/consumables)
  • From the cart, click on "Request invoice" then "Private" and enter your tax code by clicking on "save"
  • Proceed to order by choosing “Carta del Docente” (Teacher's Card) as an alternative payment method. If the billing address is different from the shipping address, click on "Use a different address for billing" and then click on "review order" to check the entered data and confirm the order.
  • Make sure you have clicked on confirm order! Do not close the page immediately after payment!

  • Send the generated hardware voucher, with your tax code attached, in response to the order email (or via WhatsApp 0438 1693056)
  • You will receive an electronic invoice as confirmation of validation via email
  • The course and documentation will be sent upon order fulfillment (remember to also check your spam folder for any emails arriving from no-reply@signrequest.com)

Important:
If your voucher does not cover the full amount, after sending us the voucher, you will receive a link in reply via email, where you can pay the difference with another payment method.

ATTENTION!

If you do not see the "Carta del Docente" (Teacher's Card) option on the payment page, click on "Checkout without registration" as shown in the figure below. This will allow you to access all available payment methods, including the Teacher's Card.

After purchase: completion of training requirements

To be perfectly compliant (according to regulations) you will receive via email from no-reply@signrequest.com:

  • Access to the online course
  • additional documentation to complete
  • Certificate of participation
  • Report your participation in the course and the purchase made in your Individual Training Plan (if relevant): this is good practice in case of future ministerial checks.

Frequently asked questions

Can I purchase a Laser, CNC, Cutting Plotter, 3D Scanner or 3D Printer with the Teacher's Card?
Yes, only as part of an educational package (product + course + certificate) compliant with MIUR regulations (art. 4 DPCM 28/11/2016).
Always contact us for confirmation on the chosen product. The course is free and included in the price of the eligible product for purchase with the teacher's card.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to purchase individual accessories or consumables with the Teacher's Card.

IT IS POSSIBLE to purchase the main device together with an accessory, but NEVER the accessory alone.

For example: a 3D printer purchased with filaments or spools is allowed, but purchasing only filaments, resins or spools is not — even if you already own a 3D printer, even if purchased from us. The same applies to other sectors: laser engraver + rotary module is allowed, only rotary module is not; 3D scanner + included accessory is allowed, only the accessory is not.


Can I buy a drone?
Yes, only the DJI Mini 5 Pro as it is compatible with SDK for development for teacher learning purposes.

Can video cameras like Insta360 be purchased with the Teacher's Card?

No, unfortunately video cameras and video recording devices, including models like Insta360, cannot be purchased with the Teacher's Card.

Video cameras fall under technological peripherals excluded from the bonus, as indicated in the official MIUR FAQs: the list of non-admitted items includes printers, pen drives, scanners, webcams, and video cameras, as they are not considered "primarily functional" tools for professional development as provided by the Teacher's Card (cf. MIUR FAQs on the 500 euro bonus, law 107/2015, art. 1 paragraph 121 and DPCM 28/11/2016).

Can I return or get a refund for a product purchased with the Teacher's Card?
It is not possible to obtain a cash refund (bank transfer or cash) for products purchased with the Teacher's Card. This is because the voucher is personal, non-transferable and intended exclusively for specific training expenses, as provided by the regulations. Not even in case of return.

How many vouchers can I use for one order?
For each order, only one voucher per teacher is accepted.

I placed an order selecting the Teacher's Card as payment, but immediately after I received an order cancellation email, why?
It means that one or more products purchased are not eligible for purchase with the teacher's card. The system automatically analyzes the items in the order and if one or more products cannot be purchased, it automatically cancels the order. (e.g., consumables or video cameras/gimbals are not eligible for purchase with the teacher's card)
