PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber is the latest generation of high-performance nylon filaments for your 3D printer. This 3D printing material is based on Nylon 12 and is reinforced with 16% glass fiber. This composition results in an exceptionally strong filament.
Material Properties PrimaSELECT NylonPower Fiberglass:
- High chemical and thermal resistance – Ideal for automotive, drone construction and RC parts
- Lower warpage than regular nylon makes it easier to work on FFF/FDM 3D printer
- Easier to 3D print than regular PA/nylon and excellent surface quality
- Creates highly durable parts – perfect for additive manufacturing
PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber – The Ultimate High-Performance Filament for Your 3D Printer
PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber is the ultimate high-performance filament for your 3D printer. This 3D printing material is based on Nylon 12 and is reinforced with 16% glass fiber. This composition results in an exceptionally strong filament. This nylon glass filament is perfect for additive manufacturing of automotive components, drone construction, and RC parts.
Main properties of the fiber-reinforced NylonPower PA12 material:
- High chemical and thermal resistance
- Excellent surface quality
- Minimized tendency to warp compared to conventional nylon
- Easy to process
3D print highly durable parts from NylonPower and fiberglass
PrimaSelect NylonPower fiberglass is an extremely useful material with unique properties. This filament uses nylon reinforced with fine strands of chopped glass fiber. PrimaSelect NylonPower filament offers incredible stiffness, structure, and excellent layer adhesion.
Simply process the NylonPower filament with glass
NylonPower is also very easy to work with and has a matte surface. Perfect 3D prints are very stiff and rigid, making them ideal if you need an object with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. To process PrimaSelect NylonPower filament, use a heated print bed set to 60°C to ensure good adhesion of the first layer to the build platform.
Work NylonPower fiberglass with a steel nozzle
Due to the highly abrasive properties of PrimaSelect NylonPower (the nozzle wears quickly due to abrasion), we recommend using a hardened steel nozzle for this filament. Using a standard brass nozzle is not a problem, but the nozzle will wear out quickly. PrimaSelect NylonPower adheres to glass coated with spray adhesive or adhesive.
Material Properties of Fiberglass Nylon Filament:
- Weight and Spool: Each spool contains 500 grams of high-quality filament. NylonPower comes packaged on a clear spool with a strong desiccant to prevent moisture.
- Perfect diameter tolerance: NylonPower filament is controlled throughout the additive manufacturing process. This ensures you receive a filament with a diameter tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm.
- Perfect Spool: We've put a lot of effort into making every filament spool perfect. So you can be sure the filament won't tangle on the spool.
- Easy to 3D print: Glass fibers mixed with nylon make this material very easy to work with most 3D printers. We recommend a hardened nozzle.
Tips and tricks for processing PrimaSelect NylonPower with glass fibers on your 3D printer
Here you will find tips and tricks for processing PrimaSelect NylonPower with glass fibers on your 3D printer.
Watch your filament and keep it away from moisture.
The glass fibers in PrimaSelect NylonPower reduce the amount of water that can be absorbed. However, for optimal processing, care must be taken to keep the filament away from moisture and protect it.
To do this, you should store PrimaCreator NylonPower in a dry place immediately after unpacking. The filament comes in a vacuum-sealed bag with a desiccant to ensure your first 3D print is a success right away and delivers perfect results.
If exposed to humidity, we strongly recommend drying your NylonPower fiberglass filament before starting 3D printing. To do this, simply place the entire spool in the oven at 80°C for 5-7 hours. This will dry the spool and allow you to start a new 3D print.
Optimal processing temperature of PrimaSelect NylonPower
PrimaSelect NylonPower requires an extruder temperature of 250-265°C for optimal extrusion. This filament can be processed on most 3D printers. However, we strongly recommend using an all-metal extruder for higher temperatures. PrimaSelect NylonPower fiberglass filament can also be processed at lower temperatures. However, you should always keep in mind that you won't achieve the same strength in finished parts when using lower temperatures.
This filament contains glass fibers, which makes it very abrasive on the nozzle. We highly recommend using a hardened steel nozzle for this filament, as a standard brass nozzle will be quickly worn away by the nylon filament.

Larger 0.6 or 0.8 mm nozzles produce very durable 3D prints and reduce the risk of nozzle clogging. However, it can also be used with a 0.4 mm nozzle.
NylonPower fiberglass does not adhere well to PEI, BuildTak, or similar surfaces. Glass is the best surface for use with Magigoo, PrintaFix, PVA glue sticks, or other adhesives. Do not use fans when 3D printing with NylonPower.
