Installation
-
Positioning : Align the plate and lower it into the correct position - the magnetic fastening will automatically lock it in place
-
Standard Configuration : Make sure the plate is NOT resting on the skis (side skates)
-
Usage : Ready to print immediately after placement
-
Removal after printing : Bend the plate slightly to detach the model
When to Use Type I
-
Rapid prototyping
-
Prints in standard materials (PLA, PETG, ABS, Nylon)
-
Soluble or removable supports
-
Production of short series
-
General and everyday use
Maintenance
-
Cleaning : Gently clean the surface after each print.
-
Inspection : Check for warping (deformations)
-
Replacement : Recommended after wear or loss of adhesion
Important Notes
⚠️ For PEEK and PEKK prints : Do not use Print Bed Type I. The Print Bed Type II at high temperature.
✓ Flexibility : The flexible surface allows for easy detachment of models without damaging the printed parts.
✓ Universal Compatibility : Works with all Element series printers.

Installation for HT Prints
-
Base Positioning : Align the plate and lower it into the correct position - the magnetic fixing will lock it in place
-
Skis Activation (Essential) :
-
Use a 2.5mm hex key
-
Slightly loosen the ski bolts
-
Push the skis inward to accommodate the plate
-
Tighten the bolts again
-
-
Skis Function : Prevents bed warping during high temperature prints
-
Post-Print : Loosen and bring the skis outwards before removing the plate
When to Use Type II
- Engineering materials prints (PEEK, PEKK)
- Aerospace, automotive, medical applications
- High-strength functional parts
- Environments requiring heat-resistant materials
- Prints with Print Head HT (High Temperature)
Ski Containment System
The ski system is critic for the success of PEEK/PEKK prints:
- Warping Prevention : Keeps the platter perfectly flat during extreme thermal cycles
- Adhesion : Ensures the maintenance of correct first-layer adhesion
- Precision : Ensures required dimensional tolerances for functional parts
- Adjustment : 2.5mm bolts allow for precise pressure adjustment
Maintenance
- Regular Inspection : Check that the skis are in good condition
- Cleaning : Clean the surface after each print (residue can block skis)
- Alignment : Periodically check that the skis are parallel
- Replacement : Recommended after heavy printing or wear
Important Notes
⚠️ Exclusive Use : Type II is optimized for PEEK/PEKK. It is not required for standard materials.
⚠️ Skis Required : Always activate skis before printing with Type II to prevent catastrophic deformations.
✓ Flexibility : The flexible surface allows for easy release even from hard materials like PEEK.
✓ Robustness : Built to withstand repeated thermal cycling up to 500°C (nozzle) without degradation.
