DJI has launched DJI Modify , intelligent software for editing 3D models. It is used together with DJI Terra to repair the most common defects of 3D models. DJI Modify was designed to improve drone surveying workflows.
Described as the survey version of Photoshop, DJI Modify allows you to repair the most common defects of 3D models easily and efficiently.
DJI Modify can be used together with DJI Terra, offering an end-to-end solution for modeling and model modification.
It is designed to meet a range of drone survey use cases, including AEC, inspection and public safety.
Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI, said: “Complex model work has long been a challenge for the aerial surveying industry.
“As DJI's first intelligent 3D model editing software, DJI Modify has completed the final piece of the puzzle in DJI's entire business solution, from data collection, to data processing, to model editing.

Seamless integration with DJI Terra
DJI Modify Works perfectly with DJI Terra.
With just one click, DJI Modify can be thrown into any DJI Terra 3D modeling project.
Once enabled DJI Modify , DJI Terra files for model modification are automatically generated, including pre-identified objects and model pre-processing.
Currently, DJI Modify Only supports repairing models built by DJI Terra.
Efficiently edit 3D models
With an intuitive interface, intelligent editing tools from DJI Modify they are easy to use and do not require complex settings.
Model files can be quickly imported and exported as ply, obj, b3dm and so on, making them compatible with DJI Terra and other third-party software.
In the future, the processed models can be shared on the cloud for online viewing and sharing via links without installing software.
Intelligent and automatic editing of DJI Modify supports flattening, editing textures, repairing water surfaces, removing floating parts, and filling holes.
Changes can be made using one-click repairs or manually by selecting custom polygons, areas, or meshes. The software's smoothest model viewing technology allows you to view and edit high- and low-quality models in a single interface.
Changes made can be synced across both templates and instantly previewed, allowing users to troubleshoot template editing issues quickly and easily.
