The SUNLU AMS heater is an upgrade for Bambu Lab's first-generation AMS, replacing the top cover to allow for simultaneous filament drying and printing. It heats quickly and evenly up to 70°C in 20 minutes, actively controlling humidity and temperature to improve print quality and save time and space.

Simultaneous drying and printing
Replacing the standard AMS shroud, the AMS heater enables active drying of the filament while printing, eliminating the need for an external dryer and reducing moisture-related print defects.
Rapid and uniform heating
The PTC heater reaches a constant temperature of 70°C in about 20 minutes, thanks to a double airflow system that avoids hot spots and deformations.
Intelligent humidity control
Equipped with humidity monitoring, the unit automatically sets itself to 55°C in RH mode and operates for six hours. It automatically reactivates when humidity exceeds 50% and shuts off below 20%. The user can also set a target humidity between 25 and 50%.
Compact and space-saving upgrade
The AMS heater fits perfectly into the AMS with a simple "loosen-replace-tighten" installation process that takes only about two minutes. It supports up to 16 stacked coils, maintaining a compact footprint.
Built-in security features
Combining PTC heating, a thermostatic switch that trips if the temperature exceeds 115°C, and real-time software control of the fan and heat, the system ensures safe and reliable operation.
Why it's important
This upgrade saves time and space by allowing drying directly in the AMS. It minimizes humidity-related printing issues and is significantly cheaper than Bambu Lab's AMS 2 Pro, making it an attractive aftermarket alternative.
