It is certified biocompatible according to ISO 10993-10 for external skin contact and is compatible with most LCD and DLP 3D printers.

Main Features

Blue resin offers excellent mechanical properties with an optimal balance of strength and flexibility. It is threadable without cracking, resistant to impacts and accidental drops, and dimensionally stable. Certified versions pass ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10 tests for skin contact, making them suitable for external medical applications.

Mechanical Differences between Variants

Emerald Blue, Clear V2 and Obsidian Black They are considered the "regular" versions of Blu Tough, with similar but not identical mechanical properties. Clear V2 has a higher hardness (85D) than Emerald Blue and Obsidian Black (80D), but lower tensile strength (39 MPa vs 50 MPa).

Easy Grey It is optimized for ease of printing and miniatures, with the lowest Young's modulus (1000 MPa) making it more flexible, but with significantly reduced tensile strength (31 MPa).

Nylon Black It is 25% more resistant than the regular version, with the best IZOD Impact (53 J/m) and 50% elongation at break, making it the most flexible and impact resistant.

Nylon Mecha It incorporates anti-scratch composite materials that reduce friction dust, ideal for gears and articulated parts. It offers the highest tensile strength (58 MPa) and stiffness (1900 MPa) of all the Blue variants.
