PrimaSELECT Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) is a high-performance amorphous thermoplastic material that offers better impact and chemical resistance than PEI. PPSU can be used at temperatures up to 180 Cᵒ. Compared to other amorphous thermoplastic materials, PPSU has superior hydrolysis resistance. Measured in steam autoclave cycles, it is steam sterilizable virtually indefinitely. It is also resistant to common acids and bases over a wide temperature range.

The PPSU filament produced by PrimaCreator meets the ISO10993 standard for medical applications and complies with the European regulations CE n. 1935/2004, CE n. 2023/2006 and EC n. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles in contact with food and is also compliant with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for food contact. For successful PPSU 3D printing you need to consider these things

The 3D printer must have the ability to produce PPSU filament and must be 3D printed with a nozzle temperature of 360 - 400°C. The heating bed should be set at 140°C or higher. A heated build chamber is extremely important. It is also important that the 3D printer is located in a room where there are almost no drafts and temperature changes.

PPSU is 3D printed on a PEI sheet at a printing speed of 15-30 mm/s.
