How do I recharge the Beacon Bundle?

The Beacon can be charged using the included USB Type-C cable. A single Beacon takes 60-90 minutes to fully charge. The joysticks charge separately in about 75 minutes. Charging the entire bundle at once takes 2.5-3 hours. For faster charging, we recommend charging each device separately.

What is the actual battery life?

A fully charged Beacon lasts approximately 120 minutes when used alone. When combined with a Joystick, the battery life extends to approximately 150 minutes thanks to the controller's additional battery. However, if the smartphone remains connected and active during the flight, battery life is reduced to about 60 minutes.

What signals does the Beacon use to communicate with the drone?

The Beacon communicates with the HOVERAir X1 PRO and PROMAX via regular band and narrow band Wi-Fi technology, allowing a live transmission range of up to 1km in open areas with minimal RF interference.

Is the Beacon compatible with the original HOVERAir X1?

Yes, the Beacon is also compatible with the HOVERAir X1, although with some limitations. Video transmission, instant status updates, in-flight parameter adjustments, one- and two-handed control, and audio recording (coming with future firmware updates) are supported. However, the HoverLink and Return to Home functions are not available on the X1, and the altitude and distance limits are lower than the X1 PROMAX.

Are audio and video processed automatically?

Yes, audio and video files recorded during the flight are automatically merged without the need for manual post-production. Simply download the complete file with one click via the HOVERAir app.

Does the Beacon have a Return Home function?

Yes, the Beacon supports the Return to Home function. In Follow mode, the drone will return to a position near the Beacon with a positioning accuracy of 2 to 10 meters. In automatic modes without Follow, HOVERAir will automatically return to the takeoff point.
