Durable and shock resistant

The specific qualities of Spectrum Smart ABS include high impact resistance and relatively high stiffness. The “Smart” version demonstrates improved processing parameters that significantly reduce the difficulties that accompany additive manufacturing using standard ABS. These are primarily the lower shrinkage and the reduced emission of irritating volatile substances during processing. An indisputable advantage is that the material retains its properties at temperatures down to -40°C.

Compared with standard ABS, intelligent ABS features:

• reduced shrinkage ratio,
• glossy surface of the print,
• lower printing temperature,
• increase in flow rate.

Main features:

• high impact resistance and rigidity while maintaining relatively high dimensional accuracy
• high gloss of the external surface
• low deformation ratio (0.5-0.7%)
• Operating temperature - 85°C
• VICAT - 93°C
• good interlayer adhesion, especially when using a 3D printer with a heated chamber
• low water absorption
• easy post-processing (sanding, drilling, sawing)

Packaging

The filament is wound on the neat and transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. The entire product is packaged in the original Spectrum Filaments foil-lined packaging.
