Faster and easier

Thanks to the optimized drive system and motion control algorithm, the Artisan has a dimensional accuracy of ± 0.1 mm when printing at a high speed of 180 mm/s. Not only is the print speed faster, but changing between tool heads and hotends is now quicker and easier. Quick-change platforms and tool heads allow you to switch between printing, laser cutting, and CNC cutting in less than a minute. Additionally, Luban recognizes nozzle size and type and offers custom configurations, so you can easily make your prototypes, high-strength parts, or whatever your projects require. The dual-extrusion 3D printing module also has a built-in motor to automatically lift and switch between two extruders, without additional tool head movement or gear changes. This allows for faster and quieter dual-extrusion 3D printing.

Printing on soluble and interruptible media

The Artisan features a dual-extrusion 3D printing module that supports PVA, HIPS, and other soluble materials. Simply dip your print to dissolve supports and leave your model with a smooth surface finish. Complex geometry is no longer a problem. Interruptible filament provides the same support as regular materials but is much easier to remove without the need for additional post-processing.

Save time and effort with the zoned heated bed and easy calibration

In the center of the Artisan heated bed is a 260 x 260mm high-temperature zone (also called the inner zone) that can reach 110°C, while the highest temperature in the outer zone is 80°C. While your model is placed in the inner zone, which heats up to 60°C in just 2-3 minutes, the outer zone is not heated, saving you time and energy. Artisan can automatically level the heated bed and calibrate the Z offset of the two extruders, and then calibrate the XY offset using a semi-automatic program. In three steps, you can enjoy dual-material printing or two-color printing with perfect adhesion and alignment.

Focusing via autofocus or focus lever

Autofocus can be performed by entering the material thickness on the touchscreen. The laser can also be aligned using a focus lever. Release the focus lever and move the tool head down until the focus lever touches the material by adjusting the Z offset on the touchscreen.

Dimensional accuracy 0.2 mm

High-rigidity linear modules and high-speed spindle enable the CNC module to smoothly carve or cut various materials, with dimensional accuracy up to 0.2mm.

Your safety is in good hands

The capsule door detector allows the Artisan to automatically stop laser or CNC work when a door is opened. The laser module contains a gyro sensor that ensures that no laser beam will be emitted if the module deviates from its intended position. We have also incorporated an emergency stop button into the control unit. Additionally, the process paused by the button can be resumed. The laser module automatically stops working when its temperature sensor detects a higher than normal operating temperature (a temperature above 55°C/131°F).
