These 12mm 3D scanner markers are high-precision adhesive dots designed for use with EINSTAR VEGA and EinScan Rigil scanners. Each marker has an internal diameter of 12mm (external 18mm), and the package includes 1,500 markers distributed across 100 sheets. They support marker-based and hybrid alignment in fast mode and extend the scanner's working range up to 1,250mm.

Main features

  • 1,500 markers (100 sheets, 15 per sheet)
  • Internal Ø 12 mm, external Ø 18 mm
  • Compatible with EINSTAR VEGA and EinScan Rigil
  • Supports marker and hybrid alignment in quick mode
  • Extends scanning range up to 1,250 mm
  • Improves scanning speed on large or feature-poor surfaces

Precision and design

The 12mm markers have an internal diameter of 12.0mm and an external diameter of 18.0mm. They come in packs of 100 sheets, with 15 markers per sheet, for a total of 1,500 markers. These markers are reusable (where applicable) and optimized for reliable detection by compatible 3D scanners.

Compatibility and application

These markers are specifically designed for the EINSTAR VEGA and EinScan Rigil devices. They enable more efficient data acquisition when scanning at distances greater than one meter, especially useful for large objects without obvious features or textures.

How they improve scanning

  • Reduced marker usage: Because these markers are larger, fewer are needed for each scanning frame, which speeds up the scanning process and makes the workflow smoother.
  • Extended Range: By using 12mm markers, the scanner's effective range is extended to 1,250mm, providing greater flexibility for scanning larger objects.
  • Hybrid Alignment: These markers support both pure marker alignment and hybrid mode (markers + feature alignment) when operating in fast scan mode, adding robustness in the most demanding scanning scenarios.

Best practices and suggestions

  • For optimal tracking, use 8-15 markers per frame and ensure at least 4 markers appear in each frame.
  • Arrange the markers in a random, non-linear pattern, keeping a distance of 6-10 cm (minimum 2 cm) between them.
  • Stick the markers to flat surfaces, ensuring they adhere perfectly and evenly. Avoid using non-standard markers, which could compromise accuracy.
