PEI coated

PEI Ultem (Polyetherimide) from PrimaCreator is a reusable and relatively maintenance-free printing surface, both for ABS (with a heated bed) and PLA (hot or cold), other materials such as metal, wood, PETG, ABS+ and many others they work just as well. No additional adhesives such as glue or tape are needed. PEI is attractive for its “no surface preparation” conditions, making it convenient to use. Additionally, printing on PEI requires no support rafts as parts adhere directly to the surface without issue.

How to use

Attach the plate to the print surface with the PEI side facing up. Thanks to the magnets in the plate, it's easy. You don't need adhesives, but if you plan to print something large or for a long time, we recommend using the PrimaFix adhesive stick, which will make your pieces stick even better and come off even easier when printing is finished . After printing is finished, simply let the plate cool, remove it and fold it gently. You can then simply "pop" the pattern from the plate.

Before each print, clean the PEI surface with 70-91% isopropyl alcohol, to ensure you remove any grease or other residue that may have accumulated on the surface. This will help significantly increase the adhesion of the surface. Use acetone, isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol or soap to clean PEI after use.
