With the new 3+ series, Formlabs is targeting companies aiming for industrial quality. The new machines go beyond SLA technology and replace it with the new patented LFS (Low Force Stereolithography) system. LFS technology allows for intelligent calibration of laser power based on the model's structure. The optical engine has also been redesigned and optimized, as is the new Light Processing Unit (LPU).

With the Form 3+ printer, customers can now print 20% to 40% faster than before. This speed boost is the result of both hardware and software improvements that take our best-selling SLA technology to the next level. To optimize print speed without sacrificing detail, the Form 3+ can produce parts with variable layer thickness, using thinner layers for more detailed geometries. Adaptive Layer Thickness, an advanced print mode now available for all materials, reduces print time by adjusting layer thickness based on part geometry.

The Form 3+ also includes new hardware and software that reduces the laser's motion parameters and They regulate movement within the LPU , minimizing any deviation from the cure path. Thanks to the more stable LPU, you get even smoother finishes, finer details, and more transparent parts when printing with translucent resins. But it doesn't stop there. The temperature control now it's more accurate. And finally, the 3D printing performance in the first layers it's flawless.
