Spectrum Premium PET-G filament

High transparency and chemical resistance

Spectrum PET-G Premium is the second most popular material for desktop 3D printing. A major advantage provided by Spectrum PET-G Premium is the virtually zero shrinkage rate and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Items made from PET-G maintain stable properties for a long life. Spectrum PET-G Premium combines the advantages of PLA and ABS. It also provides almost trouble-free printing and excellent interlayer adhesion.

Items printed using transparent Spectrum PET-G Premium colors have a high content of crystalline phase, which allows the effect of near transparency on a small number of outer perimeters of additively manufactured items. The pellets and pigments used in the production of Spectrum PET-G Premium are approved for food contact.

Regarding other properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, note the good creep resistance under constant load. This is due to the very good cohesion between the layers of the applied material. This results in a much lower mechanical anisotropy in the printed articles, which means that for each manufacturing direction the mechanical properties differ less than with other thermoplastics designed for 3D printing.

The excellent mechanical properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, combined with its chemical resistance, determine the application of this material for the production of articles with a relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of both shape and mechanical properties. Accordingly, these are mainly gear wheels and plain bearings subject to relatively high static loads in an aqueous environment. PET-G is also used to produce semi-transparent casings and backlit sections of various panels and signs

Packaging

The filament is wound on the neat and transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. The entire product is packaged in the original Spectrum Filaments foil-lined packaging.
