The package includes the Emlid Reach RS2+ Surveying GPS, a carrying case with shoulder strap, a radio antenna, and a USB Type-C cable.
Emlid Reach RS2+ is an RTK global positioning system that provides accuracy down to a few centimeters. It uses a combination of GPS/QZSS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo signals to provide global coverage and fast RTK convergence.
The 868/915 MHz LoRa radio antenna allows connectivity up to 8 km in a base-rover system, while the low-power LTE modem with 2G/3G fallback ensures global coverage.
Data Logging and Connectivity
Emlid Reach RS2+ has 16 GB of internal memory for RINEX data logging, with an update rate of up to 10 Hz. Connectivity is guaranteed by LoRa UHF radio, the low-power LTE modem, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0/2.1 EDR, and communication is made possible via RS-232 and USB Type-C ports. The system supports NTRIP and VRS data protocols and works with RTCM3.
Durable Design and Battery Life
Emlid Reach RS2+ is designed to withstand the most extreme environmental conditions, with IP67 protection that makes it waterproof and dust-resistant. The 6400 mAh LiFePO4 battery ensures 22 hours of battery life on a single charge and 16 hours as a low-power LTE RTK rover.
TPad: the Surveying Application
The TPad field surveying software can be used on all Android devices and allows real-time point surveying and staking. It features a multitude of functions, all managed within a true Topographic CAD: lines, arcs, circles, texts, photos, videos, layers.
With TPad, you can overlay cadastral or satellite maps onto your survey, measure and stake points, calculate new points with CoGo functions, measure hidden points or building corners with the "intersection point" function, export and view your survey on Google Earth, and much more.
