Transmitter
The transmitter weighs about 12g and can be attached with the rotatable back clip or via the magnetic mount, keeping the microphone oriented towards the mouth.
The magnetic front cover is removable and replaceable with models of different colors. Colored windscreens are also available, sold separately.
The 16 GB internal memory, with approximately 14.5 GB usable, allows recording up to 28 hours of audio in 24-bit mode. Loop recording is also available, which automatically overwrites older files when the memory is full.
The transmitter supports 32-bit float internal recording, useful for preserving a wider dynamic range and reducing the risk of distortion. Via DJI Mimo, you can choose between original and edited files.
Receiver and Transmission
With the DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver, the wireless range reaches 400 meters in ideal conditions, without obstacles or interference. With the DJI Mic Series mobile receiver, the range varies depending on the mode used:

Up to 300 meters with DJI Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2, or Mic Mini 2S transmitters in green light mode.

Up to 200 meters with a combination of DJI Mic Series transmitters in blue light mode.
The receiver can manage up to four transmitters simultaneously, allowing you to record interviews and content with up to four people. It is also compatible with DJI Mic Mini and DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters.
Noise Cancellation
AI-based noise cancellation uses the integrated NPU to reduce ambient noise while maintaining speech intelligibility. Two levels are available:

Basic, active by default in the DJI Mimo app.

Strong, for particularly noisy environments.
The function can also be activated by double-pressing the transmitter's power button.
Audio Control
Via DJI Mimo, you can choose between:

Clipping control, which automatically reduces gain to prevent distortion.

Volume balance, which dynamically evens out the level between loud and soft sounds.
Mono, Safety Track, Stereo, and Quadraphonic modes are available. The latter allows separate audio management of four transmitters via USB Digital Audio or Sony hot shoe.
Compatibility and Connections
The receiver is compatible with cameras, smartphones, tablets, and computers. It can connect via 3.5mm TRS jack, USB-C, or DJI Mic Series camera adapter.
With the dedicated adapter for Sony cameras, it supports digital connection via MI Shoe, independent four-channel output, synchronized power-on, and power directly from the camera.
The transmitter can also connect directly to smartphones via Bluetooth for recording with compatible third-party apps. Native camera recording on Samsung phones is also supported.
Automatic Recording and Backup
Automatic internal recording can be activated via DJI Mimo:

When the transmitter is powered on.

When the transmitter connects to the receiver.
If the connection is interrupted, the transmitter continues to record to create a local backup. Automatic recording can also activate when the receiver's battery drops below a certain threshold.
The low-cut filter, deactivated by default, attenuates frequencies below 100 Hz for cleaner audio.
Integration with Osmo
Up to two transmitters can be connected directly to compatible Osmo cameras via OsmoAudio, without using the receiver. Audio settings can be managed from the camera, and the TX Linking button controls recording.
The transmitter can automatically enter power-saving mode when it does not detect the receiver, then reactivate and reconnect when the signal returns. The linking button can also control photo capture or start/stop recording on compatible smartphones and Osmo cameras.
Transfer and Power Supply
The charging case transfers internally recorded files at speeds up to 34 MB/s. A 30-minute file recorded at 24-bit takes approximately 8 seconds to transfer.
When connected to a smartphone, the receiver allows audio playback from the device's speakers without disconnecting it. It can also be powered by the smartphone's battery or recharged along with the smartphone via an external power source.
