Creality Pika

The Creality Pika is an AI-powered compact 3D scanner that combines seven parallel blue laser lines with NIR structured light in a handheld device. The blue laser mode is designed for detailed acquisition of small objects and complex contours, with an accuracy of up to 0.03 mm. NIR structured light supports body scanning, larger objects, and 24-bit color acquisition, with an accuracy of up to 0.1 mm. The integrated touchscreen and three connection modes allow scanning with computers and mobile devices.

Compact and portable design

The Pika weighs 260g and integrates scanning hardware, touchscreen, processor, and battery system into one compact handheld unit.

Dual light scanning

The seven-parallel blue laser mode is designed to capture fine details and complex contours on small objects, including models, components, and figurines. NIR structured light supports body scanning, larger objects, and 24-bit color acquisition.

Removable NIR filters help reduce interference when scanning in bright light conditions. Blue laser supports scanning with ambient light levels up to 110,000 lux, while NIR scanning with filters supports light levels up to 80,000 lux.

Scan field and performance

The minimum supported scanning volume is 10 × 10 × 10 mm³ in blue laser mode and 50 × 50 × 50 mm³ in NIR mode. The maximum supported scanning volume is 2,000 × 2,000 × 2,000 mm³.

Blue laser scanning achieves speeds of up to 110 fps on a compatible computer and up to 40 fps on a mobile device. NIR scanning achieves speeds of up to 30 fps on a compatible computer and up to 20 fps on a mobile device. Anti-shake stabilization allows for freehand scanning even with the scanner in motion.

Pika can capture black and metallic objects without the need for scanning spray. Markerless laser scanning is only available in wired PC mode.

Integrated touchscreen

The integrated 3-inch HD touchscreen has a maximum brightness of 500 nits. It can be used to adjust scan settings, check scanner status, manage the device, and view the acquired model during scanning.

Wired and wireless workflows

Pika supports three connection modes. Wireless PC mode connects the scanner to a computer via Wi-Fi, while wireless mobile mode allows a phone to connect directly to the scanner. Wired PC mode uses a USB 3.0 connection and supports markerless laser scanning.

The scanner is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.

AI-assisted processing

CrealityScan includes AI-powered tools for processing acquired scan data. The AI Retexturing feature maps high-resolution textures from photographs onto a scanned model, while the AI Hole Filling feature helps fill gaps in incomplete scans.

The AI Body Completion feature uses a face scan along with body photographs to generate a complete body model without requiring a full body scan. These AI-powered features are currently only available on PC.

File export

Completed scan data can be exported in STL, OBJ, PLY, and ASC formats.
