Panchroma™ PLA Matte Muted is an opaque bioplastic PLA filament designed for those seeking soft and elegant colors, with an extra-matte finish that effectively hides layer lines. It belongs to the same family as the classic Panchroma™ Matte (formerly PolyTerra™ PLA), maintaining the same excellent printing properties and formulation, but offered in softer, more sophisticated "muted" shades.

The Panchroma™ PLA Matte Muted series combines PLA and organic mineral fillers to reduce plastic usage and improve surface finish, offering prints with a soft, satin, and decidedly low-reflectance texture. The "Muted" colors are designed to be less saturated and more delicate than classic vibrant tones, perfect for elegant models, minimalist designs, decorative objects, and high-level aesthetic prototypes.

The material is easy to print, behaving very similarly to standard PLA, but with superior aesthetic quality and a better ability to hide layer lines. Like the entire Panchroma range, it comes on recyclable cardboard spools and aligns with Polymaker's commitment to more sustainable 3D printing solutions.

Technical Specifications

• Material: Opaque bioplastic PLA with mineral fillers (formerly PolyTerra™ PLA).
• Color Collection: Matte Muted (soft, desaturated "Army Muted" style colors).

• Density: approximately 1.37 g/cm³ (indicative value for the Panchroma™ Matte Muted line).
• Nozzle Temperature: 190 – 230 °C (recommended to start at 200–210 °C and then optimize for your machine).
• Bed Temperature: 25 – 60 °C, can also be printed on a cold bed with adequate adhesion surface (smooth or textured PC/PEI, possibly with glue).
• Print Speed: up to 300 mm/s, with maximum volumetric flow around 24 mm³/s on suitable systems.
• Cooling Fan: ON at 100% for most geometries.
• Retraction (guidelines): 1 mm at 20 mm/s on direct drive, 3 mm at 40 mm/s on Bowden (to be calibrated based on hotend/extruder).
• Softening Temperature: approximately 60–63 °C.
• Drying (if necessary): 55 °C for 6 hours if the filament has absorbed moisture.
