Orthus™ is an intelligent, ultra-precise filament run-out and jam sensor. As soon as the filament runs out in the spool or there is a jam in the extruder or hotend, Orthus™ triggers a pause routine on the printer.

• Undisputed precision:
  Orthus™ is one of the most accurate filament sensors on the market. With a standard resolution of 9 µm, it can detect and pause the print almost instantly.
• Variable sensitivity:
  you can manually adjust the sensitivity. The physical switch allows you to choose between 9 µm, 148 µm or 1.229 mm resolution, more than enough for any type of filament.
• Clear motion indicator
  As long as there is movement, Orthus™ will clearly indicate the status with a flashing LED.
• Automatically pause printing
  The sensor interacts with your 3D printer controller so you can automatically pause your print when Orthus™ sends a false signal to your printer.
• Compatible with 1.75mm or 2.85mm filament.
  Orthus™ is available for filaments with a diameter of 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm.
• The Orthous™ Ultra Durable
  It is made of metal and the front plate is made of hard acrylic. No printed components are used during assembly.
• Use any filament
  Orthus™ excels with any type of polymer: from flexible filaments to reinforced or filled filaments, including transparent filaments.
• Easy installation:
  Orthus™ is really easy to install in your 3D printing environment. Simply mount the sensor between the filament spool and the extruder using the included screws.
