Part of Kexcelled's renowned Eco-Aesthetic Series (made in collaboration with KSF Beverage), THE K5™ PLA Tea gives new life to processed organic tea residues by integrating their fibers into the PLA matrix. The result is a visually unique material, capable of eliminating the uniform "plastic" effect of traditional PLAs in favor of delicate, soft-to-the-touch, and visually varied surfaces.

Natural Design and Circular Economy

THE K5™ PLA Tea represents the sustainable vision of Kexcelled's Eco-Aesthetic line. Born from the need to reduce the carbon footprint and replace part of the virgin raw material with waste from the agri-food chain, this filament reuses organic tea residues to create a material finish with high aesthetic value.

The visible micro-fragments of tea in the filament give printed parts a soft and visually multifaceted appearance, breaking the monotony of the solid and artificial colors typical of standard polymers.

Sensory Experience in the Lab

During the melting process in the extruder, THE K5™ PLA Tea releases a pleasant and subtle tea fragrance into the environment.

Note: The aroma is a sensory component solely related to the printing phase (filament heating) and does not constitute a permanent scent of the finished object, which maintains its aesthetics and tactile finish over time.

With its fine grain and naturally matte (frosted/textured) surface, THE K5™ PLA Tea masks the typical layering of 3D printing, making it ideal for those seeking an elegant, less "plastic" look.

Reliability and High-Speed Printing

Despite the presence of organic filler, THE K5™ PLA Tea retains the ease of printing of PLA. The material has a high flexural modulus and excellent fluidity, allowing it to work safely with extrusion speeds up to 260 mm/s on high-performance machines.

Recommended Print Parameters (TDS)

• Nozzle Temperature: 190–230 °C
• Bed Temperature: 35–55 °C
• Recommended Print Surface: Frosted/textured PEI board
• Print Speed: ≤ 260 mm/s
• Cooling Fan: 50–100%
• Recommended Layer Height: 0.2 mm (with standard 0.4 mm nozzle)
• Wall Thickness: ≥ 0.8 mm
