Due to manufacturing strategy, it is sometimes necessary to build auxiliary support structures for models with overhangs less than 45° from the horizontal plane.

In the case of printers equipped with only one extruder instead of a dual extruder system, after the model is printed, a manual and time-consuming operation is required to remove the supports. This process compromises the quality of the contact surface between the model and the supports and also increases the risk of part breakage. Furthermore, depending on the model's geometry, it may be impossible to completely remove the supports by hand.
