Siraya Tech Aegis - Surface Coating System

Siraya Tech Aegis is a next-generation surface coating system for 3D printing with both FDM filament and resin. It's available in two finishes, clear and matte, which you can use alone or combine to achieve anything from a glossy protective finish to a smooth matte finish, similar to that of injection molds. Easy to apply by brush or spray after thinning, it dries quickly for a hassle-free, professional finish.

Aegis is designed to give your 3D prints the perfect look and finish, whether you print with common filaments or resin. The system features two coatings: Aegis Clear for protection and shine, and Aegis Matte for a soft, anti-glare surface that visually softens layer lines. Use them separately or together to suit your project.

Aegis Clear – Fiber Protection and Sealing

Aegis Clear encapsulates sharp carbon or glass fiber filaments, making CF/GF components gentler on the skin and more comfortable to handle. It also locks out moisture in hygroscopic materials like Nylon (PA) and PPA, helping prints maintain rigidity and strength over time. Once cured, it forms a glossy film that is resistant to scratches, isopropyl alcohol, and everyday industrial fluids. It also works as a self-leveling, even primer before painting.

Aegis Matte – Hide lines, add a velvety finish

Want a clean, injection molded look? Aegis Matte diffuses light to hide FDM layer lines and gives parts a dry, high-quality, velvety feel. It's resistant to fingerprints and direct light, with no glare, making it ideal for containers, models, and display prints.

Mix or layer for a custom finish

Applying the clear coat first and then the matte coat produces even smoother surfaces than using matte alone. Mixing the clear coat and matte coat in a ratio of approximately 1:1 produces a satin/semi-matte finish that maintains vibrant colors and a decidedly refined appearance.

Easy application on most materials

Apply Aegis directly with a brush or dilute it with about 10-20% water and spray it for larger parts. It dries to the touch in about 20-30 minutes and adheres well to PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PA/Nylon, PPA, carbon fiber-filled filaments, and resin prints.
