Pro3dure GR-17 / GR-17.1: Certified Light-Cure Resin for Temporary Restorations
The resins of the GR-17 series Pro3dure's 3D printing solutions represent the certified professional solution for the additive manufacturing of temporary crowns and bridges. Both variants are Class IIa certified biocompatible resins in accordance with the European regulation on medical devices, specially formulated for image projection systems with a wavelength ≤ 405 nm (DLP/LCD/SLA).
Two Variants for Different Clinical Needs
GR-17 temporary - For Temporary Anterior Restorations
The resin GR-17 temporary is specifically optimized for the production of Temporary anterior dental restorations , ensuring an excellent combination of aesthetics and mechanical properties suitable for short- to medium-term applications. The formulation ensures robust production with consistent and reliable quality.
GR-17.1 temporary lt - For long-term temporary restorations
The resin GR-17.1 temporary lt offers superior mechanical properties with an elastic modulus > 5000 MPa (according to ISO 10477:2003) and a flexural strength of 112 MPa (ISO 4049), proving more effective than conventional temporary materials. This formulation is suitable for long-term temporary restorations , even in posterior areas subjected to higher chewing loads.

Safety and Handling
Classification according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
GR-17 and GR-17.1 resins are classified as:
- Skin Irrit. 2 (H315): Causes skin irritation
- Eye Dam. 1 (H318): Causes serious eye damage
- Skin Sens. 1 (H317): May cause an allergic skin reaction
- STOT SE 3 (H335): May cause respiratory irritation
- Aquatic Chronic 3 (H412): Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects
Personal Protective Equipment Required
During handling it is mandatory to use:
- Protective gloves : butyl rubber, compliant with DIN EN 374
- Safety glasses : waterproof
- Protective clothing : to prevent direct contact with the skin
- Respiratory protection : in inadequately ventilated environments
Basic Precautions
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes
- Do not breathe product vapors/mist
- Use only in well-ventilated areas (P271)
- Do not use for private (domestic) purposes
- Contaminated clothing should not be allowed to leave the workplace (P272)
- Avoid release to the environment (P273)
- Store in a well-ventilated place and tightly closed (P403+233)
First Aid
- Skin contact : Wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; in case of irritation, consult a doctor.
- Eye contact : Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes; remove contact lenses if present; contact a poison control center/doctor immediately.
- Inhalation : Remove person to fresh air; seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
Conservation
- Temperature : 18-28°C (64-83°F)
- Conditions : Protect from direct sunlight, store in an airtight container
- Incompatibility : Do not store together with oxidizing agents.
- Stability : Cured resins are chemically resistant
Instructions for Use
Preparation
- Shake well the resin bottle before use or store it on a mixing roller
- Make sure the material is ambient temperature between 23°C and 30°C
- Carefully pour the resin into the image projection printer vat
- Remove any bubbles with a clean squeegee or by recoater routine
- If possible, always keep a bottle in the laboratory to avoid temperature differences during refilling
Printing Process
- Layer thickness : 50-100 μm
- Compatible technology : DLP, LCD, SLA with wavelength ≤ 405 nm
- See your printer's spec sheet for specific build parameters.
- After printing is complete, immediate post-printing treatment is recommended; if not possible, leave the objects in the resin liquid.
Post-Processing
-
Cleaning : Clean the components with isopropanol ≥ 97% for approximately 3-5 minutes in an ultrasonic bath
-
Post-polymerization : Use a suitable light-curing unit (e.g. pro3dure CD-1 or CD-2) for 10 minutes in a protective gas atmosphere
-
Finishing : Dental objects can be veneered and repaired as usual
Resin Maintenance
- It is possible to filter the resin thanks to its low viscosity
- It is recommended to filter and stir the resin regularly.
- After filtration, let the resin rest for 1 hour to avoid the formation of bubbles
Important Warnings
- Never expose irradiate liquid material to avoid harmful effects on quality
- Deviations from the manufacturing process described may lead to different mechanical and optical properties.
- Polymerized resins are chemically resistant: avoid stains on clothing
- Always check the batch number and expiry date on each package.
- Do not use the product after the expiry date
Clinical Applications
Temporary restorations made with GR-17 and GR-17.1 can be cemented with common temporary prosthetic cements used in dental practice. The choice between the two options depends on the expected duration of the restoration and its location:
- GR-17 temporary : Ideal for short-medium term anterior temporaries
- GR-17.1 temporary lt : Recommended for long-term restorations and posterior applications requiring increased mechanical strength
