Third-party materials tags allow the use of third-party materials on both Elements. Using these tags ensures automated material identification, tracking of filament usage, linking of material profiles with Canvas, and automated material changes. This data is retained on the NFC tag even if material is removed from the Material Pod and reloaded later. The use of these tags is discretionary with Element.
