Micro Swiss - 0.4mm Metal Hotend with Slotted Cooling Block for Duplicater D6

This is the Micro Swiss All Metal Hotend kit for Wanhao Duplicator 6 with the following improvements:

• Grooved clamping system
• No fixing screws that could dent and damage the heat pipe
• Significantly better heat transfer (this is a big plus!!!)
• Easier disassembly and adjustments
• Precise control over hole diameter
• This upgrade includes a modified heat barrier tube and a modified nozzle with a modified cooling block. The heat barrier tube is made of 2 different materials. The lower heat break is made of stainless steel and the cooler top part is made of aluminum. Stainless steel was used for the heat break because it has low thermal conductivity and aluminum was used for the top part because it has much better thermal conductivity, to carry the heat away from the filament. The full metal hotend will allow you to print at much higher temperatures than the original PTFE coated hotend. Another benefit of a full metal hotend design is more consistent control of the melt chamber. During low extrusion speeds, the transition zone from solid to molten plastic tends to move up in the PTFE coated hotend, creating more stringy prints. With an all metal design, the transition zone is always consistent, being right at the heat break. At high extrusion speed, the PTFE tube does not have enough thermal conductivity to properly melt all the plastic coming out. On original extruders this limitation occurs around 60 mm/s, depending on the nozzle size. The all-metal hotend solves this problem: the plastic is surrounded by a thermally conductive nozzle along its entire length.
