PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber belongs to the latest generation of high-performance nylon filaments for your 3D printer. The 3D printing material is based on Nylon 12 and is 16% glass fiber reinforced. This composition results in an excellently resistant filament.
Material properties PrimaSELECT NylonPower glass fibre:
High chemical and thermal resistance – Ideal for the automotive industry, drone construction and RC parts
The lower deformation compared to normal nylon makes working on the FFF/FDM 3D printer easier
Easier to 3D print than regular PA/nylon and excellent surface quality
Creates very strong parts – perfect for additive manufacturing
PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber – The latest high performance filament for your 3D printer
PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber is the latest high-performance filament for your 3D printer. The 3D printing material is based on Nylon 12 and is 16% glass fiber reinforced. This composition results in an excellently resistant filament. Nylon glass filament is perfect for additive manufacturing of components for the automotive industry, drone construction and RC parts.
Main material properties of the fibre-reinforced NylonPower PA12:
High chemical and thermal resistance
Excellent surface quality
Tendency to warp minimized compared to conventional nylon
Easy to process
3D print very resistant parts of NylonPower and fiberglass
PrimaSelect NylonPower fiberglass is an extremely useful material with unique properties. In this filament, the nylon is reinforced with small strands of chopped fiberglass. PrimaSelect NylonPower filament offers incredible stiffness, structure and excellent layer adhesion.
Simply process NylonPower filament with glass
Furthermore, NylonPower is very easy to work with and has a matte surface. Perfect 3D prints are very stiff, rigid and ideal if you need an object with a high stiffness to weight ratio. To process PrimaSelect NylonPower filament, use a heated build bed, set to 60˚C, to achieve good first layer adhesion to the build platform.
Processes NylonPower fiberglass with a steel nozzle
Due to the highly abrasive properties of PrimaSelect NylonPower (the nozzle wears quickly due to abrasion), we recommend using a hardened steel nozzle for this filament. Using a normal brass nozzle is not a problem, but the nozzle will wear out in a short time. PrimaSelect NylonPower adheres to glass coated with spray adhesive or adhesive.
Material Properties of Fiberglass Nylon Filament:
Weight and Spool:Each spool comes with 500 grams of high quality filament. NylonPower comes packaged on a clear spool with a strong desiccant to prevent moisture
Perfect diameter tolerance:NylonPower filament is controlled throughout the entire additive manufacturing process. This ensures that you receive a filament with a diameter tolerance of +/- 0.05mm
Perfect Spool:We have put great effort into making each filament spool perfect. So you can be sure that the filament does not get tangled on the spool
Easy to 3D Print:Glass fibers mixed with nylon make this material very easy to work with on most 3D printers. We recommend a hardened nozzle
Tips and tricks for processing PrimaSelect NylonPower with glass fibers on your 3D printer
Here you will find tips and tricks for processing PrimaSelect NylonPower with glass fibers on your 3D printer.
Watch your filament and keep it away from moisture
The glass fibers contained in PrimaSelect NylonPower reduce the amount of water that can be absorbed. However, for optimal processing, care must be taken to keep the filament away from moisture and to protect it.
To do this, you must store PrimaCreator NylonPower in a dry place immediately after unpacking. The filament is supplied in a vacuum bag with desiccant so that the first 3D print is successful immediately and gives a perfect result.
If exposed to moisture, we strongly recommend that you dry your NylonPower fiberglass filament before starting 3D printing. To do this simply place the entire coil in the oven at 80°C for 5-7 hours. This will dry the spool and allow you to start a new 3D print.
Optimal processing temperature of PrimaSelect NylonPower
PrimaSelect NylonPower requires an extruder temperature of 250 - 265°C for optimal extrusion. This filament can be processed on most 3D printers. However, we highly recommend using an all-metal extruder for higher temperatures. PrimaSelect NylonPower glass fiber filament can also be processed at lower temperatures. However, you should always keep in mind that you will not get the same strength in your finished parts when using lower temperatures.
This filament contains glass fibers, making it very abrasive to the nozzle. We highly recommend using a hardened steel nozzle for this filament, as a normal brass nozzle will be worn out by the nylon filament in a very short time.
Larger 0.6 or 0.8mm nozzles produce very durable 3D prints and reduce the risk of clogging the nozzle. However, you can also use it with a 0.4 mm nozzle.
NylonPower fiberglass does not adhere well to PEI, BuildTak or similar surfaces. Glass is the best surface to use with Magigoo, PrintaFix, PVA based glue sticks or other adhesives. Do not use fans when 3D printing with NylonPower.
Buy PrimaSelect NylonPower Glass Fiber and you will get the latest generation of high-performance filament for your 3D printer.
