Managing drone compliance with Certifly: the complete guide to integration and purchase plans

Subscriptions to the Certifly service are now officially available on the 3Digital online store, providing operators with a comprehensive platform managed by RoundTable Italy for organization and regulatory compliance in drone operations.
WHAT IS CERTIFLY?
The Certifly platform acts as an integrated tool for the operational management and regulatory compliance of any organization using drones. First and foremost, the system allows for the complete setup of the company, structuring corporate data, personnel qualifications and certificates, and detailed records for the entire fleet into a single digital archive. Starting from this baseline information, entered just once into the profile, the platform automates the generation of 72 documents and manages over 120 types of operational procedures necessary to operate in compliance with ENAC and EASA rules. Key features include a pre-flight check system, which performs an automatic mission verification, highlighting missing requirements, upcoming expirations, or necessary authorizations before physical activities in the field begin. Furthermore, the software adapts documentation and regulatory checks to the specific sector of use, covering specialized fields such as agriculture for monitoring or phytosanitary spraying, infrastructure and thermographic inspections, photogrammetric mapping and LiDAR surveys, professional video shooting, and surveillance and environmental monitoring operations. Finally, the platform manages compliance regarding privacy and data management according to GDPR, including data protection impact assessments for operations involving optical sensors.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The workflow within the Certifly ecosystem is structured in a continuous sequential flow, designed to automate regulatory compliance and eliminate margins of error from company organization to the moment of takeoff.
First, operations begin with a guided onboarding phase, where the user enters information related to the company, the pilot team with their respective certificates, and the records of the drones that make up the fleet. All entered data is centralized and automatically reused in every subsequent document and operational procedure, eliminating redundancies from manual entry.
Next, one proceeds to define the flight cycle, where the software applies the specific baseline related to the type of operation to be performed, ranging from the Open category to standard STS scenarios (such as STS-01 or STS-02), up to more complex PDRA authorization paths and advanced SORA risk assessments. Once the baseline is selected, the system automatically generates the complete reference document tree — including the Operations Manual, Concept of Operations (ConOps), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and the corresponding ENAC application or declaration. For cases requiring SORA v2.5 analysis, a wizard calculates ground (GRC) and air (ARC) risk parameters in real-time, determining the SAIL level and the matrix of the 17 operational safety objectives (OSO).
Field operations are finalized with the planning of the individual mission. The pilot associates the approved baseline with the aircraft and crew to be used, resulting in the immediate auto-generation of the Mission Order, the formal designation of the Pilot in Command (PIC), and pre-flight checklists. Before physical activities begin, the "GO/NO-GO" compliance control engine is activated. This tool simultaneously analyzes 9 critical macro-areas — including the validity of insurance coverage, certificate expiration, weather conditions relative to ConOps minimums, the presence of airspace/CTR authorizations, and the status of the ERP plan — providing an immediate assessment of the mission's legal feasibility.
Finally, at the end of the flight, the process concludes with updating the continuous logbooks. The platform traceably records flight data, aircraft maintenance, battery charging cycles, firmware updates, and pilot activity hours. Each element remains archived, digitally signed, and constantly aligned with current ENAC and EASA regulations, providing a tracked archive ready to be presented during audits or inspections.
PURCHASING PLANS
The Certifly offering is divided into several annual company plans, structured to respond precisely to the complexity of operations and the risk category of flights performed.
The Open plan represents the ideal entry-level solution for professionals, photographers, and small businesses that operate exclusively within the EASA Open category (A1, A2, and A3). This level provides all the essential tools for comprehensive organization management, personnel and asset archiving, and the generation of the basic documentation necessary to conduct low-risk operations in total compliance and without bureaucratic complications.
The Specific plan is the choice of excellence for structured companies and specialized operators that carry out high-complexity activities falling under standard scenarios (STS) or subject to operational authorization (PDRA or SORA). Recommended for sectors such as precision agriculture, spraying, complex photogrammetric surveys, or industrial inspections, this level includes advanced management of all operator manuals, impact assessments, and the more stringent compliance checks required by ENAC.
The Enterprise plan is developed for large organizations, structures with large corporate fleets, or production entities that require a bespoke operational architecture. In addition to covering the entire regulatory spectrum of the Open and Specific categories, this plan offers extensive workflow customization features, dedicated integrations, and priority support to meet the needs of complex operational flows and very high flight frequencies.
All annual Certifly plans and related regulatory compliance management solutions are available for review and direct purchase on our online store.
