DJI Mic 2 Can Now Connect to Sony Cameras
DJI's latest solution for audio recording, DJI Mic 2 now supports connection to select Sony cameras. This is made possible by a firmware update and the availability of a new camera adapter.
DJI Mic 2 features omnidirectional audio capture and intelligent noise cancellation, as well as 32-bit floating point internal recording technology. This makes it the ideal solution for those who want to produce audio content with a high level of detail for their vlogs, interviews, and live streams.
DJI's new camera adapter lets you connect the Mic 2 receiver to your Sony camera's Multi-Interface Shoe, eliminating the need for a 3.5mm TRS cable and supporting digital audio recording. Using the new adapter, your Sony camera can also power the DJI Mic 2 receiver .
A full list of supported Sony cameras can be found here. Make sure your receiver has been updated with the latest firmware before connecting the adapter.
The Mic 2 firmware version to install is 04.04.05.13. In addition to compatibility with some Sony cameras, the software package provides the following features:
- Improves pop-up interaction with the receiver. The pop-up window closes automatically after 3 seconds of no response.
- Optimize the split logic of recorded files on the transmitter. When recording audio in 32-bit floating point format, the file is automatically split and stored every 30 minutes.
- Fixes some known issues.
