The new DJI Avata 2 is designed for those who want to add an element of excitement to their flying sessions. Promising safety, clear images, and an immersive flight experience, DJI’s latest first-person view (FPV) drone is designed to pair with the new DJI Goggles 3 video headset and DJI RC Motion 3 joystick remote controller. Overall, the Avata 2 offers a safer and improved FPV flight experience. In particular, the sensor has been expanded to capture 4K/60fps HDR footage in vivid detail, a step up from the capabilities of the original Avata. The Avata 2 also adopts a 10-bit D-Log M color profile, resulting in a wider color spectrum and more nuanced tonal control in the post-production process.
The Avata 2 also has improved safety features, starting with a sleeker integrated propeller guard that allows for smoother, more fluid navigation in tight spaces. It also features new binocular fisheye sensors that improve safety and stability when flying at low altitudes or indoors. For an added layer of safety, the automatic return-to-home (RTH) feature activates when the drone’s battery is low or if signal is lost. The updated DJI Goggles 3, meanwhile, features Real View PiP, a feature that allows you to be aware of your physical surroundings while immersed in flight, improving both safety and the experience.
