Blog, Osmo Pocket, Portable Products New firmware for DJI Osmo Pocket 3: FPV mode for the gimbal and 4K streaming footage
DJI Announces Camera Improvements Osmo Pocket 3 . Equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor and a 2-inch tiltable touchscreen (horizontally and vertically), the Osmo Pocket 3, thanks to the integrated gimbal, allows you to experience dynamic and incredibly smooth shooting experiences.
The new firmware v01.04.08.02 is already available for download, while the app DJI Mimo can be updated to v1.12.0 for both iOS and Android operating systems. If the DJI Mic 2 transmitter is paired with the Osmo Pocket 3, its firmware can be updated to v04.04.05.13.
The latest firmware update for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (February 2024) included improvements to the audio options as well as a recording cancel function. This time, the firmware update improves the usability of the Osmo Pocket 3 as a webcam. Here are the notes on the update released by DJI:
- Adds 4K resolution support for the USB Video Class (UVC) protocol that the Osmo Pocket 3 uses when used as a webcam, as well as 3840x2160 25/30p output. ActiveTrack and DJI Mic 2 recording are now available during live streaming. To do this, set the video resolution in your live streaming software such as OBS before use. Also, make sure that the performance of the computer you are using for live streaming and the quality of the USB cable meet the requirements for 4K resolution. Live streaming at 4K resolution requires higher system performance.
- Adds FPV (First Person View) mode to the gimbal. When enabled, and if the Osmo Pocket 3 is powered on or centered, the camera will remain perpendicular to the touchscreen, which is useful for certain types of shots.
- Adds more auto-shutdown options, including a “Never” selection.
- Optimize Wearable Mode management in Control Menu. When Wearable Mode is enabled, the screen will automatically turn off after 5 seconds.
- Optimizes autofocus performance.
- Fixes some minor bugs.
