Which DJI drones support FPV flight with Goggles 3?
Goggles 3 is DJI's latest immersive FPV (First-Person View) headset, designed to enhance the experience of flying their drones. Its compatibility with multiple DJI drones and controllers makes it a valuable option for any FPV flying enthusiast.
While it was expected that DJI would improve the design and comfort of the product compared to Goggles 2, one key feature that sets Goggles 3 apart from all other DJI FPV solutions is the Real View PiP (Picture-in-Picture).
This is a feature built into DJI Goggles 3 that allows for a secondary view within the main display. So, on one side, you have the main screen area where you can see the drone's camera view. On the other, you have a smaller window inserted into the main display that shows additional information, such as a map, telemetry data, or an alternative camera angle.
A simple double-tap on the right panel of the headset toggles between the interactive interface and live view, while real-time flight footage remains constantly displayed in the top left corner of the screen.
Also noteworthy is the use of O4 video transmission technology by Goggles 3, thus ensuring low latency and high bitrate. DJI Goggles 3 further supports sharing live feeds via Wi-Fi. You can share the live feed on the app DJI Fly via Wi-Fi and enable live streaming within the app.
And what about one-touch defogging? With the feature enabled, an internal fan quickly accelerates to its maximum speed, ensuring that the lenses stay clean by rapidly circulating air. This is a solution that shows its effectiveness in sudden changes in temperature or high humidity conditions. Additionally, DJI Goggles 3 offers diopter adjustments from -6.0 D to +2.0 D, satisfying both nearsighted and farsighted users without the need for additional lenses.
Here is the list of DJI drones that Goggles 3 is compatible with:
DJI Avata 2 : DJI Goggles 3 can be paired with DJI Avata 2 and DJI RC Motion 3 for intuitive body control. Simply tilt your head or wrist to fly with Avata 2, enjoying an immersive and visually thrilling experience. You can also use Motion 3 as an AR cursor to navigate the Goggles menu. The AR cursor makes it even easier to activate functions, adjust camera settings, and change transmission specifications.
DJI Air 3 : You can use DJI RC Motion 3, DJI RC 2 or the DJI RC-N2 remote controller to control Air 3 with Goggles 3 and enjoy a new and immersive flight experience.
DJI Mini 4 Pro : DJI's first drone with omnidirectional obstacle sensing weighing less than 250 grams, the Mini 4 Pro can also be flown as an FPV aircraft using Goggles 3 and RC Motion 3. Alternatively, you can use the RC 2 or RC-N2 remote controllers with Goggles 3 to fly the Mini 4 Pro in FPV mode.
