The goal of producing composite materials by combining different types of materials is to impart new properties, previously unattainable for separate components. As the basis for the composite, we used ASA copolymer, known for its high resistance to atmospheric conditions, and combined it with aramid, which is used to make some of the strongest synthetic fibers.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp class=\"p4\"\u003e \u003cspan\u003eAramid fibers, primarily known as Kevlar, are used to make highly damage-resistant items such as bulletproof vests, helmets and speaker diaphragms. Aramid fibers do not fracture easily under stress (unlike glass and carbon fibers), but they do suffer shear fractures and tears, which gives them high resistance to damage.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp class=\"p4\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAramid itself is not a particularly UV-resistant material, the coating and, to a certain extent, the protection in the ASA polymer, which is highly resistant to this factor, guarantee a long life for the fibers and the entire composite. Unlike carbon and glass fibers, Kevlar fibers have significantly less printer nozzle abrasion, which is not insignificant for print processing costs. The use of fiber structures helps reduce material shrinkage during printing, making large-scale model production possible.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp class=\"p4\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWith our new filament, Kevlar is now also finding its place in 3D printing technology. Components printed from Spectrum ASA Kevlar can be used in applications requiring resistance to sunlight and high impact resistance (e.g.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e bumpers, protection, etc.).
