Le filament ASA présente de nombreuses propriétés qui le rendent idéal pour des applications d'ingénierie et pour l'extérieur. Le filament ASA 3D est le cousin nouveau et amélioré du filament ABS, dont tout le monde a entendu parler. L'ASA offre de nombreux avantages similaires à l'ABS, sans avoir certains de ses inconvénients.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eLes caractéristiques les plus importantes sont la résistance, la rigidité, l'extrême résistance à l'exposition chimique et à la chaleur. Les produits finis réalisés avec le filament ASA sont très durables et résistants aux chocs. Ils peuvent être exposés au soleil et à la chaleur et ne se déforment généralement pas et ne changent pas de couleur. Par exemple, les impressions 3D réalisées avec du filament ABS sont plus délicates par rapport à l'exposition au soleil et ont tendance à se détériorer et à jaunir si elles sont laissées à l'extérieur. Avec l'ASA, il n'y a pas de tels problèmes : il peut rester au soleil pendant des années sans se déformer ni changer de couleur.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eUn autre avantage de l'utilisation du filament ASA par rapport au filament ABS est qu'il se déforme moins pendant l'impression 3D ; faites attention à la façon dont vous réglez le ventilateur de refroidissement ; l'ASA peut se casser sur les couches si le refroidissement de l'impression 3D est trop élevé.  Ce filament est un peu difficile à imprimer en 3D car il est sensible à la chaleur pendant l'impression 3D, mais il est possible de l'imprimer avec une imprimante 3D qui n'a pas de couverture. It was designed especially for professional use. Most of the time it is used for the production of prototypes, which must tolerate higher temperatures and must be resistant to UV radiation. The finished products made with ASA filament are very durable and impact resistant. They can be exposed to sun and heat and generally do not warp or change color. For example, 3D prints made with ABS filament are more delicate when exposed to the sun and tend to deteriorate and yellow if left outdoors.
