DJI Mini 4 Pro Gets New Firmware, Second in Two Weeks
Less than two weeks after the last update, DJI has today released a new firmware version for drone users. Mini 4 Pro .
The aircraft’s new firmware is v01.00.0500, up from v01.00.0400 released on April 11, with compatibility for the new DJI Goggles 3 video headset and the RC Motion 3 joystick remote controller. The latest firmware, however, does not bring any major changes. It simply fixes a few known issues.
It is a good idea to make sure that the remote controller firmware is also up to date. The latest version for the DJI RC 2 is 02.02.0000 and contains the following new features, as well as compatibility with DJI Goggles 3:
- Updated FlyShare support for fast file transfer directly from the remote controller to your phone.
- Support for independent app updates without the need to simultaneously update the remote controller firmware.
- If you use the DJI RC-N2 remote controller with the Mini 4 Pro, you can update the firmware to 01.01.0300. The DJI Fly app version compatible with both remote controllers is 1.13.1, which also fixes some issues to optimize the overall quality of the app.
DJI Mini 4 Pro is the most advanced mini drone on the market. Weighing less than 249g and featuring upgraded safety features like omnidirectional obstacle sensing, this drone is not only compliant but also the safest in its series. With an incredible 1/1.3-inch sensor, Mini 4 Pro integrates powerful imaging capabilities with even more powerful intelligent shooting functions and a longer video transmission distance.
Take ActiveTrack 360° for example. This feature is useful for capturing cinematic videos while running, biking, or skateboarding, even if you’re on a solo adventure. The drone automatically performs a variety of maneuvers, such as tracking the subject from different directions, ascending, and spiraling. Additionally, Mini 4 Pro features DJI’s latest Vision Assist safety feature, which helps it anticipate obstacles in any direction during flight.
