Aircraft firmware v01.00.0500 is now available for the Mini 3, which weighs less than 250 grams, and at the same time you can update the DJI RC remote controller to version v01.03.1400. If you are flying your Mini 3 with the RC-N1 remote controller, no upgrade is necessary. Your app DJI Fly, However, it needs to upgrade to v1.13.4, which brings several new and relevant features.

According to DJI's specifications accompanying the release of the new firmware, the new version adds support for the Remote ID requirements of some countries and regions to the Mini 3. In addition, the update fixes some issues that have already been identified. These usually refer to the improvement of the operating logic of the regular software or the resolution of some issues that do not affect the use of the product. However, the tech giant recommends updating the firmware as soon as possible to achieve an overall better flight experience.

As you may know, the Mini 3 uses the same 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and f/1.7 aperture as the more expensive Mini 3 Pro. Shooting in the default mode will give you 12MP stills, but DJI’s 4-in-1 pixel technology allows the drone to shoot 48MP stills as well. You can also record stunning 4K/30fps HDR video with true-to-life color, day or night. If you activate True Vertical Shooting mode, the camera can rotate 90 degrees to capture TikTok- and Instagram-ready content.
